The study followed 48 participants for nearly two years as they ate regulated meals: a larger breakfast, a moderate lunch, and a small dinner. Among the three test groups, the group that had a whey-protein breakfast lost more than three pounds more than the next group. An added benefit is that such a diet can also help manage type 2 diabetes, according to the study.
